My First Aircraft Was a Gift from God, Not Church Offerings – Bishop Oyedepo (HOTGISTLOADED) |
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel), has refuted claims that church offerings were used to purchase his aircraft.
In a recently resurfaced video, originally recorded in 2024, Oyedepo emphasized that the acquisition was purely an act of divine provision rather than financial contributions from church members.
“The offering didn’t buy it! God did,” he stated firmly. “No one was approached for funding. God spoke, I believed, and that was enough.”
He clarified that owning an aircraft was never his personal ambition but rather a part of God’s divine plan. According to him, if given the choice, he would have hesitated to even consider such a purchase.
“It wasn’t something I aspired to—it was a divine agenda revealed,” he explained. “If God had asked me when I wanted the aircraft, I would have probably told Him to wait. I wasn’t even thinking about it.”
He further added, “I didn’t even get the chance to check the price before it happened. And it’s not just a short-distance aircraft for nearby trips like Ilorin or Ogbomosho.”
In 2024, Oyedepo also announced that the Federal Government had approved the construction of an airstrip for Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland.
