The exciting revelation came after Guinness World Records confirmed that her historic September 2025 achievement not only broke the record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice but also simultaneously earned her another global title — the largest serving of rice overall.

According to Hilda, the confirmation came via an official email from Andrew Fanning, Head of Client Partnering at Guinness World Records’ Records Creative Team.

“Congratulations, you are Officially Amazing (again)! It has come to our attention when comparing record guidelines of the two record titles, that when you and your team attempted and achieved ‘Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice,’ you also achieved the record title of ‘Largest serving of rice.’”

A Surprise Record, Five Months Later

Reacting to the announcement, Hilda revealed that she had no idea the feat had broken two records at once.

“This morning, I was just doing my usual routine, casually scrolling through my emails, when I saw the message come in. I was shocked and happy at the same time, completely caught off guard,” she said.

“What I thought was one record… turned out to be two. And now, officially, that makes three Guinness World Records in total.”

The Record-Breaking Jollof Rice Feat

In September 2025, Hilda Baci and her team prepared an astonishing 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of Nigerian-style jollof rice during a massive cookout in Lagos.
